I've given up on … I've given up on dating sites because it just doesn't work. If anyone wants to actually date, they must MEET ORGANICALLY! It is difficult but I'd rather do that because if you meet them face to face ten to one they're already out and you can pick up some things in their personality that you can't pick up from a profile page, although their intentions may be pretty clear from their page. my two cents. and my online experiences haven't been overwhelmingly positive either

One of the biggest gay events in the country is in the south Southern Decadence, it's in New Orleans.

I couldn't agree … I couldn't agree more. I am sick of going out all the time and drinking, but at the same time, I am also sick of dating sites. Why is it so hard to meet another guy that has his life sort of together, that wants to get together for dinner and nothing more and date for a little while before going to bed? I don't want to see your butthole or boner on your profile anymore than I want to see it on our first few dates. There should be a website like this and leave the others for hookups.

I live in Miami, … I live in Miami, Florida, minutes from South Beach. In other words, lots of gays around. You wouldn't believe how hard it is to meet real gay people, and not just dicks with gays attached. The more gay guys in an area, the easier they are to meet, but the worse the quality gets. In other words, it's a Catch 22: Either there are too few gay guys around, or there are too many and all most of them want to do is fuck.

I know where you're … I know where you're coming from. I think it's grose and my experiences have been overwhelmingly negative, but it's easy to understand why the landscape looks the way it does when you consider the fact that the general culture is still when it comes to homosexuality. Being gay is easier these days, but the negative undertones still exist.
@jjg35 I have had … @jjg35 I have had experiences where I have become attracted to people I initially was not attracted to just from spending time with them and getting to know them. There is more to attraction than the physical and all attraction happens in your head first. What gets me is when there is no chance given because a person doesn't fit a template of perfection. If mr right has to be mr perfect, not only do you hold others to unrealistic expectations but you set yourself up for disappointment.

I actually never … I actually never been on a gay dating site, unless Dlist actually counts, but even on Dlist I've noticed that there profiles tend to have comments and blurbs of things that would be mostly considered thought of as "booty call" and Mostly if someone ever does message me it would most likely only be either "you're cute" or "you're hot" It's a "I don't give a shit" situation for me because that tells me they don't have a personality i want in a guy. But at least there was one who didnt do that. =)
