I hate it when … I hate it when people try to look smart in front of smarter people. she sees right through his inconsistencies and probably thinks he is arrogant. i noticed he talks a LOT just explaining his question compared to her who can get along using simple yet coherent language. i agree with 101beastboi that smart people don't use big words to boast their smartness, whereas the host here is clearly (imo anyway) trying to seem in her league. bad host.
great points she …
great points she has about “aggressive” intellectualism in childhood being prevented by compulsory education. Another proponent of education change and diversity is John Taylor Gatto.
Absolutely the …
Absolutely the worst host I’ve ever seen
The guy interrupted her like 20 times and just continued talking way too fast and pointlessly repeating the same things over and over
I just want to travel back in time to a moment where he interrupts her, slap him across the face and say “SHUT THE UP AND WAIT FOR HER TO FINISH”
@androkyle smart … @androkyle smart people use writting that will be understood by all people and not try to use such big words to seem more smart
@SilverZealot10 You …
@SilverZealot10 You hold the misconception that mathematics and science are the height of intellectual endeavor. But great progress in math and science can be made without extraordinary intelligence.
An IQ test is not strictly “puzzle and riddles” anymore than a physics or mathematics test is. The Stanford-Binet tests verbal and nonverbal fluid reasoning, knowledge, quantitative reasoning, visual-spatial processing, and working memory. Neither Einstein nor Proust had well-rounded intellects.
When you indicate …
When you indicate laughter, do you think anyone is convinced you’re amused? I think faster than I type, hence skipping letters. But typing errors are frivolous. Where are Savant’s inconsistencies? Where do you get that she obtained her score dishonestly? Are you aware that you took her comment on brain use out of historical context and out of the context of the discussion? (She wasn’t discussing brain use in itself but corroborating her point on intellectual potential.) Is 2+2=4 an opinion?
@androkyle Hahaha, …
@androkyle Hahaha, where is the “twenty two year old arguing with a 13 year old troll ‘priceless’”. You need to get a girl! Stop thinking you’re smart when you can’t even spell “formatting”, and what does “Insuations” means, were you trying to say “Insinuations”. If you say “Opinions are stupid” does this mean that what you wrote is stupid since it’s an opinion? (The answer is yes. I had to answer it for you, since I don’t want you to ruin that little brain while trying to think)

I.Q. is a laughably …
I.Q. is a laughably naive predictor of true intelligence. These elitists who can solve puzzles and riddles think they’re smarter than Einstein. They should sit in on a physics lecture at Cambridge. Then they’d see how smart they really are.
@ElMajeNica … @ElMajeNica Supercilious laughter is stupid. Not using standard formating (like capitalization) is stupid. Baseless charges ("a lot of inconsistencies") are stupid. Insuations ("I can get 200 on the IQ test if I can just memorize the answers") are stupid. Opinions are stupid. Interpreting information out of context (the misconception about brain use wasn't dispelled until the '90s, also known as "the decade of the brain") is stupid. Getting only what you got out of the interview is stupid.
LOL, she is pretty … LOL, she is pretty stupid imo, "we only use 5%-10%-15% of our brains" hahahaha, "Doctor:well, at least you got shot in the 85% of your brain that you don't use" hahaha, I can get 200 on the IQ test if I can just memorize the answers lol. Some of you are pretty intelligent, she's have a lot of inconsistencies, if you see it, 10 points for you! if you don't, put the computer down, and go read a book
@DesertedBaby Not …
@DesertedBaby Not exactly. All smart people should use a thesaurus (a topically arranged one is best), but to improve communication—never to obscure it. Sometimes the perfect word (the *mot juste*) is unfamiliar to most people, and that’s fine. But there’s more to impenetrable writing than just inappropriately used uncommon words. In addition to being an example of “obfuscated prose”, my sentence has more meaning.

“I see you like me buddy. I don’t care for you. Your conversation bores me,” she seems to say without batting an eyelash. Re: 6:00 – 6:30 on topic of intuition. She states he (indefinite) may be more interested than the person sitting next to him or she (indefinite) may just not care.

This talk needs to be shown to every educator, superintendent and heads of education departments in the USA.
If what MCVosS is talking about were taken to heart, in one or two generations, we’d have a more productive, healthy and “more perfect union” that our nation’s founders had dreamed about.

@scar504 is this a joke? your wanting two be taking seriousally with such bad righting?!
@Tonjevic Her … @Tonjevic Her famous score of 228 on the Standford-Binet is from the first IQ test she ever attempted. She's since taken other IQ tests as favors *because* she's in such a high IQ percentile and can offer valuable feedback for test creators. So it's the opposite situation from what you suggest. At least you only "compulsively feel" this, rather than have thought it through. And rest assured: you don't come off jealous a bit–just envious.
